Does the scenery gradually change as you play?

I was telling a friend about the idea the other day and the main phrase i used to describe the vision was: 'NBA Jam meets DragonballZ, its like super saiyan ping pong.' Now those are pretty bold claims to go that big but that's how its painted in my head. That being said there is no way we couldn't make the environment change as you play. How far we go will really depend on how much we can get done in the time available and at the moment its going pretty good! And obviously commmunity encouragement will help us along

*is hoping for "He's heating up...", "He's on fire!" colour commentary sounds*

I could give commentary a go, not sure how effective i'd be with my aussie voice but I will say that we are aiming at a HOLY SH!T moment though, something i may not be able to help commentating

Hi all making huge progress today!! Oven is cooking up an XPONG storm (in more ways than one).
The dilemma now is that we want to share images etc but don't want to spoil all the cool stuff that we hope will take people by surprise.... The good new is we are on track for completion so everyone should have the chance to check it out!!!
ALSO we are recruiting someone to help us out with sfx PM me or Oven for more info!!!

I think keeping it secret would be your best bet. You can tease at the awesomeness forthcoming regularly, and keep our interests piqued.

Updated with the link to the game. There's three opponents you have to score 3 points to move onto the next one. There might be some frame rate issues/other bugs, hopefully it doesn't bother you too much good luck and have fun.

I gave it a try. The whole outrageous buildup was pretty neat, but the game itself was really basic. Also, I suffered nasty slowdown the longer the rally was (at combo of 42, it took several seconds for the ball to cross the table), so the game got increasingly easier to play, yet harder to bear.
I dunno... I'd have liked the play to better match the aesthetics, as far as how EXTREEEEEME it was.

Yeah i know what you mean. I think a couple of brutal issues snuck into the final build unfortunately. As for keepiong gameplay simple that was a decision made based on myself and Oven having never worked together before but in retrospect if i were to make the game again it would be more about the players and less about the environment.
Still it was a good little 4 week project.
