following is my 1st post.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Nice to meet you.

I'll make a kind of Bowling Game which will be

-Simple
-Tiny ( might be 160 x 120 pix, slightly smaller than Game Boy resolution )
-Retro Look ( using 4 colors only, as same as Game Boy )

Bad Concept Art:

Not only 10 pin!

I'll do my best work though I'm so called a Sunday Programmer.
Thank you.

-Bad Concept Art updated

And following is the progress of development.

As you can see, the game would be pixel-3D mixed.

Hello, I report the progress of this week.

I worked harder and faster today,
because the next Sunday is 12/02, compo is over!

As a result, the development is almost done.
I named the game title "Snowl", it means "Snow + Bowl".

Done this week:
-Another Pixel Drawing ( number, letter, gauge, etc... )
-Title Screen Implemented
-Score System Implemented
-Result Screen Implemented
-Sequences Connected

And following is the abandoned features I was intend to develop.
-Ten different lanes   -> One lane only!
-WhiteBear's bowling motion   -> Game suddenly starts! ( a bit )

Remaining Task is:
-Sound Effects
-I must find where to upload game files, I dont own my website.

I'll do these tasks next Wednesday though I'm a Sunday programmer...
I need sleep.

Thank you.

Hey, nice game.

I tested it on linux using Wine and it worked really good.
I loved the little screen, and the graphics and overall I think is really well implemented.

Very cute!
I had some troubles to understand why the game said "Gutter" everytime, and then I realized I had to collect some snow before hitting pinguins. Love the sounds and graphics, got bored quickly but had a lot of fun at first! Congratulations!

This is great I've played it over 50 times now with my brothers, might want to have it say on screen space to restart when you lose, I was closing it and restarting every time the game ended for like the first 15 times Big Laff. PS I made an icon because I don't like to have blank exe icons I hope thats ok.

Hello everyone, thank you for your reporting & reviewing!

> I tested it on linux using Wine and it worked really good.

Thank you for testing!
I was relieved to hear that.

> got bored quickly

I agree, it was a bit too simple.
If I could join in another compo in the future,
I will concentrate on thinking about the game replayability!

> I've played it over 50 times

I'm surprised! Thank you very much.
( You might play more times than developer, me! )

> might want to have it say on screen space to restart when you lose

Oh I'm sorry, that's right.
At least I had to implement automatic screen change at score result.

> I don't like to have blank exe icons

That's right, too.
If I could have a free time next Saturday,
I might implement these features.

Thank you very much!

Hello, I updated the game file for:
-Automatic screen change at score result.
-exe Icon added.

>if you want it I can post the icon I made

Thank you for the proposal, and I'm sorry I couldn't have enough time
to wait for it because of the time-zone difference. I need a sleep...

>what's your high score? my high score is 432900

My high score is 353250, you must be the highest scorer!

Thank you.

I think I've found the first bug for this game, if you get a strike or a gutter ball and you press or hold the spacebar you get this, happens on both of the exe files.

"and I'm sorry I couldn't have enough time" Don't worry I understand, a lot of my friends are from different time zones.

"My high score is 353250, you must be the highest scorer!" oh wow I feel special now  Smiley.

Heh, cute little game.  I like the feel of it.
The only way I found I could get to the end was to ignore that the penguins existed at the beginning and just aim for snow.

A fun diversion. I played the stretched version. I like the faux gameboy asthetic. Good Stuff Hand Thumbs Up Left
