This is beautiful, I wish you all the best.
Also in my opinion all Studio Ghibli is more enjoyable watched in Japanese with english subtitles. For me that's proved in Princess Mononoke by Helena Bonham-Carter - I'm usually a big fan of hers.

I actually disagree with that. Most anime is better with subtitles, but I prefer Studio Ghibli films dubbed, for two reasons:
1) the visuals are so beautiful that taking your eye off of them to read the text is a distraction, and distracts from the overall experience. the dialogue was designed around being heard, not read, and having to read while watching the visuals is not what the director intended.
2) the subbing for those films is typically very, very good by subbing standards.

I find I can concentrate on the visuals fine whilst reading the subtitles, but to be honest maybe it's because I watched them so many times I don't mind if I miss a second or 2 can save it for next time. Have to ask you - did you not find the american girl who subs Chihiro/Sen in Spirited Away to be extremely annoying? When I first watched that movie I had the same feelings as you - till I heard the original Japanese recording and thought about what I'd missed out on.

Excuse me for going off-topic in this thread about anime dubs, but have you, guys, heard of this game called 'ArcMagi'? They say it's going to be pretty cool.

Eh, you should be happy for off-topic conversations in your games' threads, it keeps the thread up on the list so more people find out about it :D

I love the Demon. Looks like the demonic rituals have evolved to the height of british gentlemen. To be honest, I love everything else too. Especially the graphics, since I'm an "Artist" by myself too.

It's often just a case of what people prefer, but I agree with you. Some dubs are horrible though... including some original Japanese dubs; they're also quite terrible and are made better at a later date with a re-dub. Excuse me for going off-topic in this thread about anime dubs, but have you, guys, heard of this game called 'ArcMagi'? They say it's going to be pretty cool. I think I've heard of it but don't go too off-topic! I'll look into it though. I've heard the music is sweet! love the Demon. Looks like the demonic rituals have evolved to the height of british gentlemen. I, too, often find I wake up sometimes wearing those clothes and drinking tea. I fear Britain needs a de-gentlemanning else the Demon is the future for us all!

Very nice demon, I'm glad that you didn't give him a monocle as per current fad.

The credit should go to Kate who designed all the creatures. I only give her the basic idea on what I want and some feedback along the way. Fortunately, she's not into TIGSource memes, so the poor demon was spared the monocle madness . The devil is often depicted as a gentleman in the modern culture , or as a black goat in the traditional one. It's just the mix of the two. I admit I wondered if we shouldn't change the design to prevent it from appearing as a cheap attempt on milking a meme. But I've realised that, while making something just to abuse a trends is stupid, not making it to prevent it appearing as a meme-abuse is even more silly . Hence the demon kept its gentlemanly demeanor.

Actually, while doing the Demon, I was thinking more on the Russian side. A bit of "The Master and Margarita" mood, maybe. But I realised it only when I saw the animation with the cup (and the Demon has become British ).

Do you remember this? Well... I made matching earrings* : Acrylic on wood. Hand painted with my trusty 005 brush. The Lady got some additional details 'cause she looked poor compared to the Demon. *Because OBVIOUSLY I've got nothing better to do than show off my ArcMAGI pride with my jewelry .

Thanks. Too bad I'm the only girl in the team, though. I could do more ArcMagi realated bling bling for the whole crew, but I don't think the boys would appreciate it .
