I'm getting an Android phone for thanksgiving (after years of using a piece of crap). I'm excited to get Delver.  Plus finally play games from the HIB for Android.

I hear Pax Britannica is good too, I will have to get that.

Any android love out there? What's good? Great? Hilarious?

The book and Chrome apps are pretty good. No good games yet that I've seen.

Cardinal Quest is good Wink
Deadly Dungeons is also great.
You can also try out little dragon.

To be honest, I prefer to play turn based games on the phone because action games tend to be horrible on touch devices(for me). Unless it one of those stupid swipe to cut fruits or something like that...

Cthulhu Saves The World is on Android.

There's a neat game called Plague Inc that I was hooked on for a while. Be sure to chek out a game called The Curse if you like puzzles. Crystal Defenders is also quite decent. I'm still hopeful on a decent XCOM clone and a good port of Frozen Synapse.

I have that on my device, it's okay.

Game Dev Story is also excellent, really fun game. Infectonator came to Android too.

Cthulhu Saves The World is on Android.

Haven't played the android version, but the original is fantastic.
I would recommend Gunman Clive, ChuChu Rocket, Trial Extreme, ANY of the Kairosoft games, Tiny Tower, and Greedy Spiders

Organ Trail is pretty brutal. Everyone gets dysentry and dies within minutes.

Uniwars! I cannot recommend this game highly enough. I used to play 10 multi-player battles simultaneously all while doing my delivery route at work. Also despite playing over a network it barely touches your battery life. My personal favorite android game and a great turn based strategy. Also it's really one of the few games you can actually play on the go.

Reckless Racing 2 is the only phone/tablet game I've played for more than one hour. It's actually pretty fun and unique since not many top-down racers get made these days, let alone good ones.

Droidippy (Diplomacy board game clone)
Scrambled Net (Something like Pipe Dream)
Final Fantasy III
Robotek
トワイライトラビリンス
ねこふぃしんぐ  (Everyone needs to play this game)

These are the games I like playing most.  I've downloaded a lot of games, played them through and then uninstalled later, but these ones make the cut for me.  If you haven't done the Angry Birds thing, that's definitely fun for a while.

Edit: Oh, and if you have friends/children/etc. and ever need to pass a few minutes, 2 Player Reactor is some good, easy fun.

Echo kairosoft games too, especially game dev story. Some of the others are fairly mediocre, but if you like the theme, chances are you'll like the game.

Also fun...
Dungeon Raid - something like a typical roguelike/dungeon crawler, but posed in the form of an puzzle. surprisingly addictive

GodVille - Zero person game, fits in perfectly if you want a game to just pop in and procrastinate for a minute.

Final Fantasy III - Very well made, probably a benchmark for touchphone RPGs. Kinda costly and DRM is a bitch, though.

SQUIDS - Interesting and complex gameplay, nice story, seems a bit slow though, maybe not for everyone.

HotelMogul - if you like management type games.

League of Evil - Platformers suck on touchphone, but this is as close at it seems to get it right.

Ready Steady Bang - Kinda fun for a two player vs player game
2 player reactor - Also a good 2 player game

Angry Birds Star Wars - mainstream, but a lot of fun, with the lightsabers and lasers and stuff

Bad Piggies - also mainstream, but if you like machines and stuff, it's a lot of fun. Better than the video looks.

Wait, this is a site about finding good independent games. Someone should probably write reviews for this kind of stuff Tongue

Letter by Letter is pretty fun. It's like Words with Friends + Risk.

Triple Town is a swell time waster too. It's a puzzle game? Sort of?

Just got an Android phone and I've found it's a goldmine for puzzle games. I'm currently hooked on Slitherlink

These are among the best puzzle games I've got:

Flow Free - Flow Free Bridges
Pathpix - Pathpix Pro, Pathpix Joy, Pathpix Zen
Quell - Quell Reflect
Trainyard
Cryptica
Alberi Plus
Princess Nuriko
Joining Hands

Some puzzle platformers:

Box Fox
Karoshi
Continuity 2
Beyond Ynth

And some challenging platformers:

League of Evil
Commpander Pixman

Currently looking to Orangepixel's platformers, which are INC, Stardash, Meganoid, Yokiyo, Dynamo Kid, Jumpy and Super Drill Panic

If you like puzzles, check out The Curse. 100 puzzles from easy to rage quit.

Jet Set Radio works pretty good on tablets, and Vice City recently came to android.
