RRC’s website says the campus lounges and library services are open to the public, and it’s right next door. Alternatively, it’s possible a classroom or lounge could be booked there.

Could also just have 'virtual' attendance via a streaming connection or IRC channel.

That is outdated. RRC is no longer next door..

It is three short blocks away, a 3-5 minute walk. It’s pretty close. The Free Press Cafe is 2 blocks away, and my experiences with cafes tend to be negative. Negative in that it’s unlikely to be able to stay at a cafe for 8-10 hours a day for three days straight without being hassled by the management. Especially if you’re not willing to subsist exclusively on overpriced coffee and mediocre sandwiches for three meals a day.

It should offer more comfortable spaces, better hours, and less hassle with management. There shouldn’t be too many students around on the weekend, I shouldn’t think either. If it’s possible to book a classroom or board room for a reasonable price, then that would offer the advantage of privacy as well. And the ability to bring in outside food in the form of tasty snacks and meals seems like a big advantage, both wallet-wise and taste-wise.

Of course it’s not the closest to the main venue, so there wouldn’t be tons of interaction between the groups. The interaction with other devs is, for me, the main point of attending a jam, so it’s a little disheartening. But it does seem like a possible suggestion to check in to, if there are so many people extra. The original cap was 25, after all, and now they are saying 40+...

I was never too clear on how the original cap was decided on.

I dont know, I think as long as we are around 40, we could probably all fit. But if we have to split Its not a bad idea to figure out the back up plans now

Here's a Facebook event for the Post PEGJAM hangout and presentation night! Smiley

(details just got confirmed a little while ago)

We'd like people who attended the jam to present their own games, spending about 5-10 minutes each:

http://www.facebook.com/events/143157689172552/

If you can stick around in town for Monday evening, we'd love to see you at this event...!

(note: if you can't stick around, you can ask someone else to present your game for you)

Beer!

There's supposedly a potential blizzard that may potentially hit pretty hard tomorrow, so they say. In the event that happens, what do?

I guess we just wont leave.

I should be there pretty early (Like 9a or so) , so when people show up without a key just give me a call/Text and I can let you in. 204-295-1340

I'm not familiar with the building, is it locked throughout the day?  (No cell phone for me(I know, so crazy))

It shouldn't be, but sometimes is. It's what happens when you share a building.

I won't be able to make it until after work, so if the weather is bad, I might not be there until tomorrow. Waaagh! I'm guessing there will be a way we can work remotely and stay fairly connected?

I'm walking down soon.

Are the building doors open by now?  Or should I figure out some precise timings.
