This game sounds great! I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I don't really like the name though.

I've been meaning to do an in-depth post about the gameplay I have planned for Harvestcraft, but it's going to have to wait a bit longer. My productivity on this project has been unusually high since I posted it here and I want to keep riding that wave. It's good to see that there is interest in this thing!
For those wondering, the images are screenshots that I've modified, so they're part screenshot and part mock-up. Most of the tiles are not functional yet, but the water simulation is.

Do you simulate pressure with your water? (i.e. in a U-bend do both parts of the water level off?)

I really like that art style and general idea but I think you should improve your water algorithm, right now it looks more like a jelly. Given your low simulation resolution, it should be perfectly possible to do water that looks like water.

I dunno, I think chunky water suits the aesthetic, plus it's computationally cheap - you don't know how large an area he's planning on simulating, after all. You don't want it looking like Terraria's horrible water where it updates at 5fps because of the size of the world.
