Introduction

Break N' Take is a combination of the mechanics of Breakout, flipped on its head and combined with abducting human specimens in the fastest time possible!

Features

1. Randomly Generated Blocks - Keep levels fresh by regenerating different building stacks each time you play the game

4. Score system based on a combination of speed and destruction

Improvements & Development

Please observe the feedback section of the forums to see the improvements thus far (can put in here on request)

The project was originally built for a 1st year programming project (build pong, turn pong into breakout, turn breakout into something new). After meeting the deadline by the skin of my teeth, the project sat idle for a while whilst I took a break over the summer, then returned to it in February this year, updating to the version that can be seen in this video:

From there, after a request from a student to build a version of Pong, I went through the same workflow explained above to get the game to the current state with a couple of hours solid work then about a week's tweaking and refinement by gathering feedback from you lovely lot.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the demo!

love it, hilarious stuff.

Movement doesn't have the nicest feel as far as responsiveness. And the humans could splat nicely, but it's pretty damn cool!
