Obvious gameplay addition: Turn into a bat to evade detection and escape.  Only limited range/time, though.

Great Idea!! And here is another obvious idea: there is some place that can only be accessed in bat form o:

As it happens I've been re-reading Dracula recently, so here are a couple of ideas pulled from that:

- Ability to control the weather: Summon fog to reduce enemies' vision range, call down lightning to stun people.
- Renfield-like sidekick character that you can take control of - has no powers, but is ignored by enemies, immune to sunlight and can be sent off to open doors, flick switches etc.  Perhaps to activate him you need to collect a certain number of bugs to feed him.
