I started what could be a loop at the end, to give an idea of how it might cycle.

P.S - There is a lot of overlap in feel from the last challenge. I guess the floating and mysterious vibe that is implied in both themes did that, and the fact that probably some ideas from last time were still floating around in my head. It wasn't intended, anyway.

Hey all! First post! I've always wanted to compose game music, but never had any real composing opportunities other than to do so aimlessly, so I'm thankful I found these challenges!

Anyway, here's my contribution...
Beyond Those Hills

I've always loved the upfront and thematic overworld themes of the Zelda series, and I've always loved those awe-inspiring moments of first stepping into an impressive overworld after being confined for a bit (OoT, FF7, FF9). So yeah, this piece is meant to augment that liberating feeling of first stepping into that vast expanse, bursting with urge to explore and whatnot. I also watched some Miyazaki recently, so I guess he worked his way in here as well... I hope you enjoy!

Neat, you nailed the late '90s/early 00's JRPG feel... and the low end is okay on my big monitor speakers, no worries.

The protagonist of my game grew up in a forest, "Tuli-Sah", and the song has sort of a homesickness/nostalgia theme.  Gameplay involves traveling through the character's memories so the "overworld" concept is taken a little loosely here.
