Also, demake doesn't necessarily mean bad. I'm not saying your game is bad, and it wouldn't be right to pass judgment before playing or at least seeing some footage. However, from the screenshot you provided, I have to say that it doesn't look very good and you're gonna have to either work harder on the visuals or find an artist who's willing to help you.

IMO Demake graphic should even be "harder" to make as they involve copying older style and hardware limitations (if done right).
Anyway, don't let that stop you new user, complete your game and we'll play it  and don't forget to introduce yourself and welcome.

I`d say don't worry about the look of the art too much, as if the gameplay is fun then you could always swap in different art later if you so chose.
If you can have fun making the game, and make the game fun to play, then thats a pretty good achievement in my book. Good luck with it.
