Hey guys. Been working on 'Shu' with a few people since November & just uploaded our first video yesterday to www.secret-lunch.com . Would love to get some feedback.

We're making a 2.5D game about the torrential end of the world  (in the vein of Klonoa rather than the much more common completely straight side-on ones). You play Shu who with the rest of his village is being chased by a monstrous and unrelenting storm. There's a strong focus on wind/air mechanics and also how saving or not lost travelers affects your journey and how the completely text-less story develops.

Right now the video is primarily focused on setting the feel, there's much more gameplay to come.

This looks awesome, Kinda reminds me of Okami in the style which is a very good thing!

Nice, Liked the 2D/3D coexistence.
Interesting camera angle as well.

Visuals are looking mighty professional. Makes me want to play for sure. And mechanics working thematically with the plot and visuals, so good.

Cheers guys!

:D Definitely an influence. We literally took the colour of the deep red sky from an Okami art book we had. The wind is something we looked at specifically too, along with a few other games.

And mechanics working thematically with the plot and visuals, so good.
That's awesome to hear already, it's something we're really focused on.
