My main focus is gameplay but I hope it is also pleasant to look at.

The vid quality is a bit worse than expected but you get the idea.

Let me know what you think.

Yes, I have been a little absent as of late on Tig - but I am back now probably a little more solidly. Anyway, How is the game going? The art is looking pretty.

The xbox360-version is done except for the music and few sprites here and there. Expect over 100 caves waiting to be solved.

I am glad to hear that you, as an artist, find it appealing. My worries are that people nowadays are too much accustomed to the cheerfull juicy gimmicky and personified look to everything. However my intention was to provide a bit colder and darker tone. You are dealing with ice-cold robots. The game is aimed at more serious players. Casual attitude won't get you far in the game.

Yeah, I like that attitude. But one thing that may be good, just to make it look a bit better is to kind of round the edges of the tiles with some tile mapping? I think it would look a lot better if their edges curved with the sides of the walls. Like this...

I can implement a system that automates it at the expense of processing power. However given the format of the game and current artistic ressources I doubt it is beneficial.
