I think your ARMS link is better, so I may replace that one. I was linking to the 3 hours of poppenkast page.

Yeah, it was especially hard for me to re-find "so".

I was surprised to see Arms in there. Good game, that. I wish cactus had extended it beyond the 3hr compo.

Really goes to show just what you can achieve with Game Maker. Awesome.

Yeah, Vimeo deleted it because they have a policy against recordings from commercial games. Use YouTube instead I guess:

Well, I can see why they deleted it. Immortal Defence is shareware, so the guy who made it might take offense at the video.

There were a couple of other shareware games in it too -- that dinosaur one, the two ones by hpapillon (Cute Knight and Fatal Hearts), and Magi, but I don't think any of them complained or anything, it's more likely that Vimeo editors just delete anything that looks like a game.
As for alternatives, another possibility is GameTrailers (I know it's not exactly a trailer of a particular game, but maybe they'll put it up anyway).

GT is AWFUL in my opinion. Tiny video space inside a gigantic mess of ads and text. It's ok for xbots who want to post their crummy halo vids set to Disturbed though.

it's more likely that Vimeo editors just delete anything that looks like a game. I read their rules FAQ thing and it looks like they delete anything where the creative content isn't made by the creator, regardless of whether the uploader has permission to upload etc.

Those were some amazing looking games (I played a bunch from playthisthing). Gives me a bar to aim for.

Well, technically recording video of yourself playing a game is really no different from recording video of you drinking a soda can (the person doing that probably didn't make the soda can in the video), so I'm not sure that counts. But it doesn't matter much, there are other alternatives, I'll look into those other ones later.

Even with those statements, there are plenty of vimeo videos on the indiegamer blog showing gameplay footage. I guess only the ones with commercial or non-user content are not allowed?

They have an exception in their rules stating that if you are the developer of the game in question, you are allowed to upload footage of it. EDIT: See last point under 'Content': http://www.vimeo.com/guidelines
