WTF is this?

Glad you asked. This game is a 2D retro-like side-scrolling platformer. Although this game is still in development our hope is for this game to be a challenge to the player.

That's it??

So far that's all that I could think of for a description. We've been prototyping the game for about 1 month now, but have not given too much thought to storyline or plot.

Who's working on this game?

Right now it's just me, Code Assassin(programming guy), and Ozoh(he handles music and art now). Ozoh hails from the mostly cold, Finland, while Code Assassins hails from sunny California.

How are you making the game?

In Game-Maker: Studio.

Why is the player a gorilla?

We wanted it to be an animal - and for some reason we both agreed on a Gorilla. Strange - I know.

Why is it called 'Project_Banang'?

It was late(and we were both probably half-asleep) and we misspelled the word banana when trying to come up with a temporary name.

How often do you work on the game?

Ozoh and I are both students - so we work on it whenever we have free-time. I work on it everyday and usually clock in about 4 hours of work everyday.

Screenshots?

Free?
Perhaps. Right now we are just trying to make a game. Ozoh and I are not really focused on whether or not were going to sell it. I guess were calling it free-ware right now just to be safe.

Where can I contact you guys?

Do you guys have an official site?

Yes - but that's currently being developed as well.

.... if you insist: http://projectbanang.neonbamboo.info/

Are you going to release some builds of your game?

Eventually yes. Please be patient.

Ports...?

Windows,Mac, and maybe Linux. Maybe HTML 5.

Need Help?

Yes. More details here: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=30972.0

Thanks for all the kind comments Smiley

Although I am not really focusing on ports at this stage I am pretty sure that I will make a Linux build when the time comes Smiley

Currently working on making a level using Ozoh's jungle tile-set.

I think I may want to add some sort of sprint for the character eventually as well as some sort of wall-slide mechanic. Still trying to decide if it would fit in this particular platformer.

no wall slide. have him be able to grab the wall though. as well as grab the roof and climb across. or to grab the side of a platform and swing down.

I agree - gorilla's aren't that athletic anyways Tongue

Since we have a new artist on our team, our game's assets are getting a huge makeover. Right now I'm still making more levels so I should probably have a playable build up and running for critique as soon as he finishes making the new assets Smiley
