a) we have a feedback forum for these things b) you should really introduce yourself in the introduction thread before plugging anything c) if you don't respond fairly soon, there will be giant hotdogs just a bit of friendly advice!

Hi, I hope it's not bad manners to plug one's own project in the forums, still I think this might be of interest to someone here. In some places it's not, but here it often gets frowned upon. You were polite about it, so nobody will shoot rockets at you. But if you're not expecting to give the community as much feedback as it provides you, be careful :D some folks have sharp teeth around here. Your game looked interesting, if not a big gimmicky. It'd be better to build the ragdoll mechanics into a game, and not a game out of ragdoll mechanics if you ask me. Looks smooth, though.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe I got the wrong forum :/ Of course feel free to move it if it is so. Ok a little about me my name is Matteo I run ragdollsoft.com I've made some decently popular physics games Ragdoll Masters and N-Ball and now I'm working on this one, basically a 3D version of Ragdoll Masters with lots of added stuff. Thanks

Hey there! I suggest that you introduce yourself in the introduction thread. Also, if you can post some screenshots of what you're working on, it would be neat. Thanks.

YES! Me an my friends used to play Ragdoll masters in computer class, an it was amaazing. loved it.
The move to 3D is a bad one imo.. how are you gonna be able to control it? It was cool on 2D because you could actually play with skill in 2player..etc. 3D will just be a mess.

It's more like 2.7d. Yes, 2.7. Matteo can explain much better than I can.

Hey Matteo! We have a nice thread over at fun-motion just for this game. We are physics junkies after all Anyways, I think this'll be great. Guys, you're playing on a 2D plane, but it has 3D graphics and the camera does aawesome stuff when you hit things.

I like the idea of weapons. What I would like to see is more variation of characters. Have you tried an octopus? How about a Goro like character? Maybe a centaur. And that's just playing with limbs.
Another thing. When I was playing your first Rag Doll game I thought it would be a kick if the hands could grab things, which would be an addition of only 1 button, so you could pick up and throw weapons or your opponent. It'd be even more fun with the octopus if all 8 limbs ended in grabbing appendages.

Haha, good idea, I'll work on the octopus, see how it comes As far as grabbing throwing, it could be interesting, I'll see if it's practically doable. I made a fatso ragdoll in the meanwhile: http://rubberninjas.com/5.png :D

A fatso is twice as round, usually.

Unless you make his belly something that can deal damage. That would be awesome.

ciao Matteo (are you italian?) Your game does look nice, the gameplay reminds me of another one i tried years ago, almost the same gameplay but in 2d.. and as far i know from the videos it lacks the same thing the older one lacked: everything seems too much random, more like watching a physics simulation than really a sword fight, it's indeed cool but have you direct control of anything? it's for example possible to do an aimed attack if you have skills? oh and don't forget to introduce yourself on the obligatory introduce yourself thread, we like to be more people than somethingsoft on this forums
