This is the dev log for our upcoming short game Full Moon Rising. The tale is simple, your lady has needs. And those needs involve you being a werewolf. The problem in this scenario is that it’s not a full moon out. Do you accept the challenge to travel across to land in search of a precious moon rock, which will turn you into a powerful head smashing, bone breaking, love making machine? It’s a short juvenile tale, but that’s what happens when you come up with your game idea’s drunk. Come check out our adventures on our Drunk Devs website. As always, feedback is appreciated. Here are some screen shots to show the madness that is Full Moon Rising: Our journey begins It had to be bats Ernie's beautiful girlfriend It's gonna get gory Megaman style boss battle?

I have to leave for work, but I thought I would drop a quick gif of some of the progress. Hopefully it displays ok.

That looks sweet. The player is offset a lot to the left; what are you plans for the camera? The dog is so funny, he cracks me up. Can't wait to see how this turns out :-)

The camera smoothly tracks to a spot about a little less than 1/4 of a screen ahead of the player.
I'm glad the wolf cracks you up. I'm aiming for a fairly whimsical style.

You're certainly on track concerning that. Only the seen human character falls a bit out of this - depending on the role of the humans I'd consider going a bit more whimsical with the humans as well; making them really fat, ugly or something might do the trick :-) (the one seen right now is rather average cute-child looking person)

Thanks for the pointing that out. I do agree that I can probably push the human characters a bit more. I'll give it a go when I get home this evening.

Will there be tinkling? This is a relevant question.
Seriously though, this is definitely one of the greatest looking player sprites I've ever seen.

Cheers man! I'm an admirer of your work, so the compliment means a lot. Well the stars twinkle, but I'm not sure if were-tinkling is on the backlog. Though a previous game by Gavin ( A Man's Quest) did have interactive tinkling during the end credits...

Really looking forward to this, the charm is clearly visible in what you have shown so far. Good luck with this game!

When I asked Joshua to animate our projectile throwing enemy, I was not expecting this. I love it so very much.

Without words. I can already hear the sound he will make when the stuff comes out of his mouth. Also - very good improvement on the human character in terms of whimsical style! And twinkles!

Haha, I was just waiting for the wolf to juggle some of that stuff right back at the enemy.
I had a friend who had a dog who was pretty ace at jumping up and catch flying stuff in his mouth. I can totally see that as pre-werewolf behavior. I myself though had a dog who only tried to catch things thrown at him after it hit his head. Worst reflexes ever...
Wonder what kind of music will acompany this? Any thoughts on that yet?

Thanks guys, he was fun to do! He sort of fell out of my tired/weird brain late last night. I did try to rework his style to fit better, I do appreciate the feedback. We are in contact with a composer and do have a few tracks ready. I'm not really sure how to describe it, so I'll let the Daniel do that: I guess I would describe it as a robot takes acid on halloween and ends up at a rave then turns into the majestic battle-drums of the lustbeast that is emerging
