well, i hope another thread wasn't made about this already.
anyway i think the next TIGJam should be held in Seattle or Portland. It seems to be not terribly far from people, at least in comparison to Arizona. I'm not sure about where it can be held. Let's find out if Seattle or Portland are good ideas, and if so, who's gonna host, when, etc.
Both Seattle and Portland are really great cities. Portland is the world capital of indie, and Seattle is the world capital of.. salmon?
anyway, let's brainstorm and etc. no rush though, i mean, it's going to happen in Fall 2009.

I think Flashbang is set on hosting it again, with a bigger venue this time around based on the amount of interest for the last one.

Being Canadian, I probably shouldn't post in this thread, but what the heck.
I think due to geography we're going to need to start having multiple Jams, and maybe not even by country. Eg. a Jam in Vancouver or Seattle could accommodate both West Coast Canadians and Americans, and a Jam in Toronto or NYC could accommodate Easterners of both countries too.
Also, trying to have all these Jams at the same time is cool (eg. Fall 2009), but probably a bad idea if we actually want them to happen.

I would very probably be able to attend a Jam in Seattle.
I would almost certainly not be able to attend a Jam in Arizona.
Therefore I vote yes on Seattle.

You know, I still think there needs to be a Canadian Jam (or multiple Canadian Jams). There does seem to be 5-10 if you add Alberta and B.C. together.
I guess multi-national Jams would be cool too; from what I've heard though, it's a lot easier for Americans to visit Canada than it is for us to visit the US, so my preference is Vancouver if we're talking West Coast. It's not that far from Seattle.

I was going to suggest something adjacent to GDC so that visiting internationals could play. GDC is already awesome though, so this probably isn't necessary.

I was under the impression that something was happening anyway.

i think we should split off into a couple TIGjams, as opposed to either totally fucking over the west or the east coast

Exactly what I've said all along. And when I first suggested this in the TIGJam Canada thread, I suggested that they be Dueling Jams. You know, to be epic and all. An epic battle of game developing. (West would totally win btw!)

TIGJam is cool, I don't know if I'd belong there though, I wouldn't get any work done, I'd just get drunk and make racial slurs.

If I were to come I'd wear a powerglove for the entire weekend. But I don't know if it's up my alley. Seems like fun, though.

Have you used your powerglove with GlovePIE? Because if not then I think you're crazy and totally wasting that glove.
