Also, the preview movie has soft buttons on screen, but I hope there are tilt controls as well? (Even if there aren't, why buttons and not a target on the ground you can slide around instead?)
I have inside info on this game and can thus assure you: It comes with all those 3 control schemes.  Noir

I swear I saw a 1:1 image from this game with blurry pixels but now I can't find it.

Will the game have the pixel art intact on the iPhone or will it be murdered?

Totally murdered. If I have the time/energy in the future, I will do an update with larger-pixelled graphics so they don't have to be scaled-up/filtered, but the financial/social situation I'm in now didn't offer me that chance. People who have seen the game like the graphics and animations, so it'll be fine with the general public, but pixel purists and other respectable artists of all sorts will be looking up my address and assembling pipe bombs, I'm sure.

And yes, the default control mode is Tilt, (I'm sure I mentioned this on the first page...) but you can also play with Seek mode (character will move towards the point on the ground that you touch) and 2-Button mode, which is the version in that video. I couldn't tilt my computer screen, so I was playing with 2-Button mode when recording that video. Hopefully we'll find some way to get a recording of Justin playing Tilt mode on the iPod Touch somehow, but I don't have one just yet.

Tilt is apparently the most fun mode to play, though Grin

Can't wait for it to come out. This seems like the perfect pick-up-and-play game.

Just an idea I think you should maybe add a download link to the original game on the website :D
Otherwise the site is awesome and exactly what you want for an iphone game Grin

I thought of doing that, but I want to avoid confusion at all costs. That means not having people think that the downloadable one they're linked to IS the game the site is promoting, so I'm sort of gonna keep them exclusive from each other for now.

I made it to level 4 or so, but I don't think any level-up orbs appeared

Hi there. I have identical problem, but the above question has not been answered (it's on page 2). Without knowing how to incite orbs to appear my playing is pretty pointless, because fun always ends in level 4 or 5. And there's no hint what to do.

It's because the fun actually ends on level 5. After that, there's no more fun, no more orbs will appear. For more, you have to start again.

Actually, Justin and I are just about to launch a new game version in-response to this: the new game version, which takes place on a farm, is unlimited in length. There's no powerup orbs, you just go for as long as you possibly can, and you can do certain things to extend your timer. There will also be a few more things in store, but expect the update to be in the app store before too long Smiley

New gameplay mode, now in submission:

Night and day! Shocked It's a sunny day on the farm, but it's too bad that the sun won't keep these particular VamPigs away, not to mention some other livestock. But don't let night come, or you're really in trouble! Keep the sun up by getting combo powerups, and keep the game at bay for as long as you can. Mud monsters, skittish chickens, flying pigs, and inflating cows are your prey of the day.

The game screen no longer blocks you from the sides, too. You can move left and right as far as you want, but it's up to you to take this new freedom to your advantage. Also, more achievements will be made available via OpenFeint as well:

1.0 was pretty awesome, I'm twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the Alaskan internet to trickle down the last couple MB.
