I have a pretty good mic (Good enough for the game I think). What do you want to do? I can just cut up 0.25 second snippets and it'll probably be funny :D

Maybe record some words like "buh muh guh pluh fuh duh"

THEN, play them backwards, and try to mimmic the sounds they make, then play that backwards and keep that, so you have a forward playing sound that sounds weird
Reading through this devlog and looks absolutely magnificent. I also want to point out, though, that what you described here (saying words, playing them backwards, SAYING what you hear, then playing the backwards-spoken track forwards) is how they made the voices for the people from Cooper's dreams/the Black Lodge in Twin Peaks talk.

Animal Crossing was always one of those games I wish I had played but never got around to. So, I figured I'd post here to follow along!

I gave the alpha a quick try. I came across one bug, or so it seemed. I walked around a bit, entered and exited a few of the houses, and then lost control of my character when trying to enter my 3rd or 4th house, near the bottom right of the map. Here is a screen:



The jar itself didn't crash and burn, but I did lose control of the character.

Anyway, I look forward to following this one! If you want me to try and duplicate the bug just let me know.

Yeah, you crashed trying to enter a store. Fixed that bug and after I get lighting implemented, a new build will be released. Thanks for the feedback!

Weird, I tried to upload this to IndieDB. Although I agree that I didn't add enough screenshots, they said it violated the Terms of Use as well as another's intellectual property and that it's already uploaded. Undecided

Ok, well I found a pretty neat LWJGL-based library[/ur]. Do I dare switch?

It has sprite batching, shader support, bitmap font support, texture loading, texture blending... loads of good stuff that I would never take the time to implement myself.
