@standardcombo like these ASCII animations a lot ! The last version of the bats looks cool too, the new ears + the slight change on the bottom of the wings make the big bat much more consistent to my eyes.

Today on TIGSource, we learn that three-hundred and fifty guys with swords and severe indecisiveness issues are a roughly even match for nine really stupid guys with laser guns.


EDIT:

The removal of one errant break statement makes our laser-bearing friends much more effective combatants...

... but is not enough of an improvement that two can hold fast against an army of one thousand.

There won't be in the #gbjam version, but hopefully in the #1GAM version we'll get the planned plane boss in :D

I don't think the saturated BG colors are affecting the clarity of what's happening though. It looks fine, but might be a problem once there are more objects on the screen

Improved in many ways, this is Purgatory! The ground now has the flair clouds making it less static-feeling. I've made many adjustments to the randomized clouds and added the text above doors that lead to worlds. Lastly, I've added Limb Darkening to the game and a color filter that I can adjust easily. Oh, and I darkened the sky slightly to make the cloud doors not clash as much.

Loading Screen Animation:
This animation will be used in the game's loading screen!

It's not for me, different people have different tolerances. I quite like it!
