I made a smooth voxel engine, and a fancy animation to show how it works:

a coding oversight lead to this mechanic being born? I wasn't intending the stars to be "thrown" while the star was still out but I like it enough to keep it so!

I use Screen To Gif. Super useful for just quickly popping out a gif for twitter. Also easy to record in-game or your desktop/editor/whatever. My game, Russian Super Mall. Got the potato's moving along conveyor belts & the Babushka's picking up / dropping them off:

Rosalina from smash bros lol But in all seriousness, I think this would make a pretty interesting mechanic, so do keep working on this project pls!!!

It's not a platformer. It's something akin in aesthetic to Lone Survivor or Uncanny Valley. I feel like those games are about as immersive as you can get within the confines of pixel art. Having some issues programming the animations to play relative to character movement and direction though

@ompuco: Those are interesting effects! I particularly like the first (which looks as though it's continually effervescing away). Objects can now (optionally) fall when their support is removed:

A spear-throwing structure-destruction thing-y. Still not sure how much I want to do with this.

You could turn it into a crocodile very quickly, too.

Made a frog! That's a lovely frog, though it does look like a crocodile a little. Here's a gif from the game we're working on, Ash of Gods. Battle animation of the guard Fisk demonstrating him while providing a strike and receiving the damage. This is a result of scrupulous work, and we hope that we did everything right. You can find details of its creation in our devblog. Any questions or advices are appreciated.
