Love the destruction, maybe some particles with fire will be more spectacular.

Also the helicoptes after the explosion, you are the one who move backwars or you added some wave explosion that affect to the mesh? :D

spawn a colored light childed to your bullets? If you're on the deferred path on Unity, I spawn lights like candy..

a big muzzle flash would be cool too

I had thought about adding a light to the projectiles, but hadn't gotten around to it.  A muzzle flash would be a good idea too.

I am curious to see the results, but I am afraid that it could be too "flashy", expecially in that dark environment.

What engine are you using unity? Maybe when the sword hit the soldier the physics is a bit bouncing, specially the head, but in overall looks interesting!.

Also comment i saw your portfolio and is just awesome, loved that cobra car and the character designs.
