Another mermaid ability is the slide, Megaman/Castlevania style!
She needs some special move when surfaced!

Testing out some of the basic weapon mechanics.
Sorry about the fact that I cannot record fullscreen, my pc is very slow.
The game is called Chromosome Evil and its an RTS/RPG set in a zombie universe, not a classic zombie - a chemical experiment universe but rather a zombie demons Cthulu universe inspired from love craft.

I love it! Do the characters auto-attack?

Thank you!
Partial, weapons tested in gif yes when equipped they auto shoot if the enemy is in range but some weapons like RPG and other special weapons need to be targeted manually

Nice mermaid approach, would recommend some parallax backgrounds for depth effect

Testing out a new aesthetic for a horror concept. Animations are very much WIP but the assets are more or less where I imagine them to be.

@Nicholas Lives: fellow fan of Jan Švankmajer? Smiley

@Ktulhu: cute! The synchronised bobbing makes me think there's some music in the background. The "parody" bit makes me think it's this:

That really reminds me of Alien Breed back in the days on the Amiga! You could also zoom out a bit.

I know Alien Breed but this one plays very different, the only thing in common is top-down perspective as for zoom out yes, the thing is the game is already zoomed out but if I record gif in full screen my computer freezes, basically that gif only contains around 15% of actual screen

Hey, nice stuff in here!

I'd posted some of these animations in the 3D thread a while back- I was trying out animating frame-by-frame with a 3d model (This one's a rough placeholder)

Turns out, though, that Unity does weird stuff when importing 3d animations, so I couldn't actually use the model, itself- I'll be rendering out each frame and using their 2d spriting system to get it done.

It'll have some benefits, though, like being able to add in smears and junk!

Is that 12 fps for the animation, as anime animation are doing? I like that effect.

I don't know what's going on here, but I like it!

Lovely!

Thanks!

Ah, thanks! Somewhat, yeah- I'm doing 24 FPS animations frame-by-frame like traditional spriting. I'll be trying out anime-style animation stuff for cutscene animations, though!
