Hi!

Just thought I'd post here about Voltic's upcoming iOS release "Frantic Fingers". The game itself is pretty much finished, it is just undergoing final tests and may be subject to some final changes and then shall be sent for verification!

How fast can you think? How nimble are your fingers? Frantic Fingers will put you to the test! Frantic Fingers is a collection of three second mini-games in rapid succession. Under guidance from a brief instruction, you must figure out the objective of each presented scenario with a slide, tap or spin of your finger! You earn points by figuring out how to clear each scenario and will lose a life if you fail to do so or if time runs out. The difficulty level increases with your score, and you can compete against your friends and other players on the Game Center leader boards. Can you react quick enough to earn a score worthy of the #1 rank by playing through 60 mini-games.

This game draws heavy influences from the WarioWare series – in particularly WarioWare: Touched! for the Nintendo DS. We thought the touch-based mini-games would be perfect on iOS and the style of gameplay is very fitting for the predominately casual market of the AppStore - and thus, Frantic Fingers was born. Although iOS devices support multiple touch points, Frantic Fingers (for the most part) was designed with single finger gameplay in mind due the appeal of the simplicity.

Featuring:

-60 mini-games (with more to come in free updates)
-3 competitive modes (Main, Hard, Sudden Death)
-The option to practice specific mini-games
-Retina Display
-Optimised for iPhone 5
-Full Game Centre support (leaderboards and achievements)

A trailer is on its way!

Just gonna track the last bits of its completion Smiley

Because it is not available or submitted yet, there is still a chance for some final changes or alterations before it can be distributed Tongue

Devlog Entry #1

Today I started preparing everything press-related for the game. Descriptions, how it came to be, AppStore images and started posting it on some websites (such as this one Tongue).

Tomorrow I intend to create a pre-release trailer for the game.

This is what needs to be done:
-Implement Game Center Achievements
-Implement Game Center Leaderboards for each mode
-Final tests on iPhone 5 (1136x640 version), after which I can...
-...test on iPad and iPhone 4S and below (960x640 version)
-Implement remaining absent sound effects

Devlog Entry #2

Today, Ben (viva/volt) worked towards adding the game centre functionality.

In the meantime, I worked on the début trailer for the game. I decided instead of using solely gameplay footage, I would create an entirely new animation (with existing assets) in Flash for the trailer before a montage of in-game footage.

My progress can be seen in this video below:

The art is final but I need to:
-Add audio
-Adjust timings
-Add montage gameplay footage to the end of the clip
-Add a "Coming to the appstore" tagline
-Insert "From the creators of Nightmerica" at the beginning

Throw any constructive criticisms my way Smiley thanks!

Since last update I have created a more complete version of the trailer for the game which can be seen here:

In other news, we found that when the game is played at iPhone 4S resolution, there are a number of exclusive glitches that occur due to the shift of screen size and position.

Once that is out of the way, we should be nearly done!

Game Center now is fully working, and it would seem the game is too! Smiley

We also have a nice shiny trailer to show you!

Enjoy.
