I never played any games in the Mother series. There are a thousand sequels I want more than Mother. Good Secret of Mana sequel, anyone? *grumble grumble*

There are a thousand sequels I want more than Mother. How could you want a sequel if you've never played one before  Yeah, I could also go for a mana game that doesn't disappoint. Seiken Densetsu 3 DID kick ass, though. I'm just really stoked about this fan translation. I've wanted to play M3 for a long time and be able to understand it. M2/Earthbound was an awesome game; role-playing, quirky, great humor, and even a bit obscene at times. It was really set-apart from lots of RPGs during the SNES era because of its original take on the genre. |

Seiken Densetsu 3 was good until you were given these 8 bosses that you had to defeat in no particular order and at that point you just started buying/saving money for better gear and items but the plot didn't advance at all. The game mechanics were still pretty sweet. In my opinion the only awesome RPG is Earthbound (MOTHER 1 was horrible by the way). We shall see if MOTHER 3 is even better than Earthbound :D. |

Ohwait! Sword of Mana rocked, too!  the remake of the GB one. I forgot about that. Only RPG where I've killed the final boss in one hit before :D. Anyhow, yeah *cough* Mother 3... yeah. |

I played through the first chapter or so on a Japanese cart (I got that special edition Game Boy Micro bundle) using a game script, but after a while it just got too irritating. So I'll play the ROM, and pretend I'm playing it on an awesome handheld.
