Hey, I'm not into like chiptunes with modern production or even chiptunes in general, but you killed it with this. Very good release, took me by surprise. Great job!

stuff
I am sure you are already aware of this but that game is on the frontpage of newgrounds today, so congrats. I played it and the music is pretty cute. On a weird aside I did a demo of a game with pretty much the same mechanic a few years ago. But I guess gravity flipping is not that uncommon of an idea  Smiley

Also, I am loving that album holy

Hey, I was wondering if somebody could criticize this track? I am trying to become not terrible at this so anything is helpful

s_I_m, that's not bad, however I feel that the song gets a bit repetitive. Adding a different type of section, or a break to it would be pretty cool. it's a nice evolution, love it when the pads come in, and the way they fade off at the end is nice.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh holy shit uhm I love it. :O

I mak beat too but no ff

And lol who wants this shitty romantic shit:
blahablaha

*pukes* it's a WIP!!

edit: oh Yeah and another song for my hypothetical dog rpgg:

So I've been working on something special lately - I'm making dynamically changing music for an upcoming game. Every level will have two tracks; one for exploration, one for fighting (much like in FTL, for example). The music will fade between the versions according to the gameplay. This is pretty much the first time I tried to do something like that, and am not really sure if I'm doing everything right, so I'd really appreciate some constructive criticism.  Wink

I've uploaded more than half of the first track here with the two themes fading into each other periodically.

Found some cool NI Kontakt instruments thanks to Steparnicus! Working on something Layton/Animal Crossing-ish.

It definitely does have that animal crossing vibe. Which is a good thing.

I really like that a lot =) is it the guitar and bass from Pettinhouse or just the guitar?

I've got a number of new chiptune tracks that I'd be interested in hearing feedback on:

I haven't done a "Hey you should check out my music" post since I started getting involved round here, so I thought I'd show you guys some things =)

My main musical output is with my band, Houston We Have A Problem.  We are a metal band and I do a bit of everything from songwriting, random synth nonsense & vocals, but my official title is 'Guitarist'  Cheesy

A couple of our tracks are here.

Purify (a melodic instrumental track if metal isn't your thing)

Capri

Man Down

I also make mashups  which are a lot of fun! including one notable one I did of the band TesseracT when they were searching for a new vocalist.

...full disclosure, it's rick astley.  But you may be surprised at the result.

Here is the Giant Bombcast theme mixed with the Saints Row Garage theme

I also got into the whole chiptune lark, but usually cheat and fill out the sound with extra, non-chip samples because hey...we live in the future man.

Captain Catastrophe - which I made in line with a game idea I have and may well end up making one day.

A pretty chiptune ditty probably suited to an RPG of some sort

There's also my 2 entries that I've done for the Musical Challenges on here, where I'm hoping to build some kind of reputation within the indie community for music.  Up until now I've just made music because I love doing it, but now that I realise that I could make music that is of use to someone, I'd really like the opportunity to do that.

Anyway, hope you guys take the time to check out my stuff, let me know what you think!

This isn't brand new, but I haven't really shared it yet.

A strange attempt at chiptune rock or something. Also the first thing I've done with somewhat interesting percussion going on.

"Remastered" an old track of mine - the first I wrote for my blog - titled "Woods Theme": https://soundcloud.com/scorevgm/woods-theme_remastered

This represents the first orchestral track that I've really gotten into trying to produce fully. If you hear some things that are rough to your ears and have any tips and/or tricks, I'd love to hear them.

Feedback and all that appreciated!
