I made a story-driven, game music-based EP. There's a bonus track on there, as well! Mixes orchestral sounds with slight synth elements. Fun fact - The three main tracks of the "journey" are unified by a single motive. Enjoy!

@ Jed_Crouch Really fun, upbeat song! It sounds like it could belong in Kirby game! I think it sounds very professional bt I'm no composer! What program did you use to create it? So I've been working on something for personal project using a paid app on my phone. This is my first time creating music. I don't have any music knowledge besides knowing what sounds nice and unpleasing to my ear. The app seemed like quick and easy way to create music. Anyway, the music is for a NES inspired sci fi sidescroller and this track would play in the factory level. It's not done yet, I'd really prefer it to be 1:40-2:00 mins long looping and I'm currently working on that. Would appreciate any feedback since I'm a newb at making music. No music theory knowledge at all https://soundcloud.com/user-367269977/factory-music

@heyguy definitely read up on some music theory. It will help you get more established in the tools you have for music and what kind of conventions we have. Of course, you should experiment freely as well. @Jed_Crouch Use more dynamic variation and quiet moments. It's very easy to fatigue the listener with a monotonous rhythm-scape. Also, if you're going for Kirby, percussion is really important. Lots of key changes too. https://soundcloud.com/torchkas/swing-time

New piece, written with an augmented reality music/adventure game in mind. I tried to create a lot of rhythmic interest through some syncopation and counter-point while keeping it pretty straightforward rhythmically and harmonically. https://soundcloud.com/andrewmushel/gettin-into-a-groove

I really love sci-fi soundtracks and this hits all the right spots for me. Honestly you could probably release this as an album on something like Bandcamp and people would buy it...really great work! I had to make an account just to say how much I like this

My day job is writing music for films and games, but over the last few months I've spent a lot of sleepless nights finishing up my very own little side project - Myths - an album of orchestral fantasy music. Myths is a collection of musical narratives woven into a story. Embark on a journey through a mythical world, wander through its vast landscapes and meet the fantastic creatures and colourful characters that inhabit it. Inspired by video games, Myths is an exploration of the orchestral fantasy genre. Prepare for an adventure! BandCamp https://mihkelzilmer.bandcamp.com/album/mythsThanks for listening and I hope you enjoy it!

https://soundcloud.com/torchkas/arpeggiaThis is a song of arpeggiated chords that I based around parallel fifths and other parallel perfect consonants. It's kind of a test and a middle finger to some theorists who say that parallel perfect consonants should be avoided or sound bad in voice leading. I hope you all enjoy it.
