Here's a track I made for my project called Xetrovoid. It's a dark-synth track with thrash metal influences, I guess you can hear some video game influences there as well.

https://soundcloud.com/xetrovoid/xetrovoid-army-of-steel

Cheers!  Beer!

Holy my... that is some darkness! Will take quite a game to match that! Good work with the overall sound and mixing. And you kept the energy well for the full five minutes!

Well, I wrote another chiptuneish melody:

Just taking a first pass at some music for my first video game, any thoughts?

https://soundcloud.com/user-858008153/cas

I definitely have a long way to go with the arrangement and the mix, and the final section probably won't actually work when it comes to being in the actual game, I'm thinking it might be a bit too busy?

A new release comprised of music from an unfinished / unreleased game! "Deep Within" tells a tale of an individual's insanity. Loss of the mind. Combating the internalized voices. Stagnation; numbness. The effect on loved ones. While from a game, the result left music that shares a story in its own, instrumental way.

Enjoy!

Hi!

My name is Mika Pilke and I just registered to this forum. Here's some of my material.

This dark song is called Awaiting and I designed it to serve (maybe) as menu or title music. Horror? Dark scifi?

And here's another. Song is called In Peace and it is quite the opposite compared to previous one. This was created to serve as some peaceful village song in RPG or such.

Any feedback or opinions? Grin

I've been a gamer since early '90s and have been hobbyist musician for about 20 years, so I've lately gotten more and more interested in doing music to games too.

Yeah this is fucking cool. Love glitch/noise stuff and this goes really well with the video.

My project Debutante basically blends drone music with shoegaze and pop music elements.
Dropped a longtrack with a lot of glitchy synths a while ago;

Wow! A ton of awesome music!

Hi there! Im Tomas, a music composer and sound designer from Ushuaia, Argentina. Im diggin a lot of things that I'm listening to in here!

https://soundcloud.com/torchkas/arpeggia

This is a song of arpeggiated chords that I based around parallel fifths and other parallel perfect consonants. It's kind of a test and a middle finger to some theorists who say that parallel perfect consonants should be avoided or sound bad in voice leading. I hope you all enjoy it.

I'm listening to this one on repeat mode. Interesting use of parallel fifths.

Here's a 13 minute track (splitted up in 5) I made last year for a very retro arcade game called NAVE. It has a Justice-Daft Punk vibe I think. If anyone wants to throw me some feedback it would be much appreciated!  Hope you like it!

Lots of the above have made their way into my favourites.  Nice to find all this great game music in one place here Smiley

Really cool interesting stuff.  I especially like the groove and uplifting build happening in "up hook-p down" and the journey the music takes you on from that track on Smiley .

#gamemusic related:

Here is a playlist of YouTube Intro's + Outro's for "Let's Players," namely theMeatly and Will_Bits.

You'll notice that the Will_Bits music is all the same melody/theme, just rearranged in 5 different styles. It was total fun to make for him!

Thanks for taking the time to listen!

That's some very nice music, Kyle. Lately I've been more interested in creating music at the piano than in the field somewhere.., like on the iPod  Tongue

This is one I did on solo robot piano before making it similar to F-Zero:

3571 Orchestra
First samples of 3571 The Game soundtrack

3571 Project is not only a videogame, it's also a comic/webcomic, animations, films, and music. Its main originality is that I create everything alone during my free (night)time. Learning 3D modelling and C++/C# languages at 30 was really challenging for me but drawing, art direction, animation and music have been my best skills since I was a child.

Music is a very important part for the 3571 Project global atmosphere. 3571 Orchestra is meant to be an independent music album with its original idea: I decided to compose very classical orchestral songs, but to « futurize » the sound I played and recorded them with cheap digital devices ( like a small MIDI keyboard connected on the free version of garageband for exemple ).

This can lead to some electronic music atmospheres sometimes, and a "MIDI" 1990's sound, but titles sound medieval with very classical harmonies, melodies and orchestration. I think this musical concept is fitting pretty well the main 3571 Sci-fi-Medieval story.

Here are two 15 seconds samples of the first tracks :

Track 01 - Battlefield

Track 02 - Dark Army

I'm sorry these samples are so short, but I strongly want to keep some secrets before I release the game.

Does anybody know if there's similar projects, at least for a videogame ? I mean a videogame completely created by a single person including story, coding, graphics, UX, concept art and music ? This would be a great inspiration for me.

See you soon and thanks for listening !

Here's the current title screen music for "The Ambassador" (which you can click here to see the devlog and play the demo!)

I hope you enjoy! It has a slightly celt-influenced and Eastern feel to its stylistic and instrumental choices.

Have fun listening and playing the demo!

I created this forever ago and I honestly don't think I'll ever use it. Feel free to DL it and use it/edit it however. Please credit Mars On Fire though.

Made a little shop track that incorporates a touch of silliness / quirkiness. However, what was super cool is that Helen, a pixel artist, wanted to create a customized bit of artwork specifically for the track!

I hope you enjoy it!
