Thought I'd share a track from a concept soundtrack I'm working on: https://soundcloud.com/echocore/x-mad-mechanic-denos-battleWanted to capture the essence of madness, and also add an Eastern sounding made-up-language hook. This is a battle track, so it is meant to be driving and powerful! Enjoy.

Ceci N'est Pas Un Bataille Contre Un Adversaire FrancaisThis is a track I finished a couple days ago that was an attempt to sound extremely non-western. All the plinky bits are an attempt to implement some Balinese gamelan influences into the track, but I don't think I did a good job of it and I'll try again later. I'm pretty happy with the vocals, for the most part, though. Basically the vocals are based off of Lithuanian folk music, where one phrase sung by the first singer is in one key and the next phrase is in a key two steps higher or lower than the first key. The second singer comes in partway through the first singer's tune and her melodic line is slightly shorter or longer than the first singer's, so the relationship between keys keeps changing. It gets complicated fast, especially when you add a third voice (which I did on a different song). Let me know what you think! For my soundtrack, I try to avoid looping (since my songs are invariably very long for a video game tune), so the end is super abrupt so that there's about one beat between the end and beginning. I'm not totally sure if I like how this ended up sounding, but I'll probably fiddle around with it a bit. Let me know what you think!

Here's a drum'n'bass'ish track I made while exploring Renoise (I also suck at meaningful track titles)

Hello all! I finally managed to release my newest album called Clinomania out into the wild. It's a special record I've been working several years on and have worked hard to make it push the boundaries of what could be considered ambient music and ambient composition formats. As per my promo text "Clinomania is a chaotic, confused space filled with melancholy, anger, and dissociative behaviour where powerful drones mix with swirling, luscious synths, glitched audio works, ethereal voices, and sombre piano soundwork." Hear: Rise With Me Forever Across the Silent SandI Don't Want to GoFull album is available via YouTube, Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and the likes. As for my relation to videogames and why I'm even on here. I've created the soundtrack for the exploration-puzzler Kairo, space-exploration short Even the Stars, and, sadly, abandoned Sooth. The two latter originating from right this very prestigious board! Hear: Soothhttps://nicholasgavan.bandcamp.com/album/soothEven the Stars OSThttps://nicholasgavan.bandcamp.com/album/even-the-stars-ostWould love to hear your comments about my work. Love, B

I believe during this week I created my best song so far. Be warned though. This one might eat your soul away.
