Congrats on the release! I really love the space-y feel of it and the retro game influences __________________________________________________________________________________________________ I assume double posts aren't appreciated, so I'll edit my comment instead ^^ I've recently released an album called "Hope and Despair" that consists of two halves: One cheerful and electronic and one dramatic and organic. It's available on many different services, so I've made a link hub for it, so you can choose the site you're most comfortable with. That linkhub also has a demo video embedded in it that sums up the album in a few minutes, so you don't have to skim through everything yourself to find out if you want to hear more! I would definitely recommend listening to the track "Soda" at least, which is a collaborative Future Bass song that I made with the rapper Aldon Jacob and the singer Reichuu. fanlink.to/HopeAndDespair

https://barmeyung.bandcamp.com/album/pelog-and-bonang-2018I'd like to share some new versions of old Gamelan music I wrote. I hope you like it. Feedback always welcome I played these compositions with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Javanese Gamelan in 2005. But I produced these versions with virtual sample libraries, and they're totally Westernized-Hollywood injected.. just because These pieces were actually inspired by the London Suicide Train Bombing on July 7th, 2005. and I used the Gamelan to express my feelings at the time. It reminds me of how sensitive I used to be about those types of things, and how now 13 years later, I really have no sensitivity at all to be honest. I know I'm not the only one. These kinds of tragedies are all too common these days, as if it's just accepted and expected as a part of being an American.. which is just fucking ridiculous. But perhaps these songs remind me that in the future, I'll work in the only ways I know how, which is to, at the very least, contribute to the healing of others by creating something of remembrance out of it. Pelog is a song of anxiety, anger, and violence. Bonang is a somber piece that quickly turns into something quite happy actually. I like to think that beauty can grow out of tragedy, and we can be happy in strength and the perseverance to overcome. I'm never sure if these influences truly show in the music itself, but it is the fire that lit the sound.

When you listen back to these songs that you wrote so long ago, can you conjure up the feelings that you had back when you made them? Or did the remakes of these songs take on a new meaning to you? Since it does sound so epic, it would be cool to hear these with recorded horns or maybe a more realistic-sounding sample library. I did feel like the mix was very narrow (not sure if that is the right word), where most of the parts were concentrated in the center. It might sound nice if you did some stereo widening on some of the parts - might sound more epic

Some kind of weird sound-designy crap I was working on for fun in-between projects. I don't know if it's really done, but I was stoked with how some of it turned out. https://soundcloud.com/zminusone/stink-eye-wip-Brian

Thought this was worth sharing. A classic Final Fantasy song redone using 80's analog synths. Enjoy

Hi everyone! I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing as far as writing for games is concerned, but I have been writing music and making recordings of it for a long time, right from the heart. And as much as I can't get the music I hear out of my head, I also can't stop thinking about adding that to the artform I appreciate more than any other (video games). I've attached a link to a piece that I wrote while envisioning a passage of time - maybe with some kind of visual montage - inspired by rumination on my own conflicts in the past, and how they've made me feel, through the years. I hope you enjoy hearing this trio I wrote (for Piano, Cello, and Oboe), and that you feel inclined to connect with me further as I share more music and you share more thoughts. Who knows - maybe one day I'll get to write something even better for a cool game! https://soundcloud.com/user-234747501/interlude

Here's this Mega Man sounding song I made yesterday: You can download the track and hear more at https://soundcloud.com/sodanugs. If anyone's working on a game and needs music, let me know!
