Demo to a game I've been working on awhile: Rhino Rage
Controls are all mouse/trackpad/touchscreen, meaning no keyboard, at least for now.

Windows: http://205.196.120.191/ipkswsmgbaxg/ikc06r7vvqsv2k2/RR_Beta_Win.exe

Mac: http://205.196.120.126/mkfioe8eo15g/vbx7ai71ut2yruq/RR_Beta.zip

It's my first game. I used Game-Editor and uploaded the ged file for anyone who wants to use it here: http://game-editor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12764&sid=ef8bbd8801068349d2f45e91e7a96851

And I've got a kickstart going for it right now so I can devote time into making a story mode, multiple levels and animations. One of my rewards makes you a character in the game: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/259974818/rhino-rage

Let me know what you think  Smiley

Nice work, looks like you put together a solid game!

- Instead of only registering on touch maybe the controls would be more responsive if you keep updating it based on where the player is touching.  So players can keep their finger/mouse down to move.
- I had some trouble jumping over the trunks.
- Aren't giant rocks heavier and harder to move then tree trunks?
- It was fun breaking through the rocks.
- On my second game I got a bug where I like ran off the front of the screen and the background graphics are still moving but the foreground graphics are the same.  Ok, this happened on my 3rd game too...
- could use a ground texture and  more layers of paralax scrolling.
- felt kind of boring that nothing could hurt me, there were no enemies to avoid.
- it seems like kind of a bad idea to do a kickstarter for your first game.  Don't get me wrong I hope you succeed in at least some way and generate some interest!

Bugs aside I think this is pretty amazing for your first game.  Try adding some enemies to spice up the gameplay!

Thanks FrankForce for the constructive feedback and kind words.

-I will definitely attempt to get the rhino to follow your touch so you can keep your finger down.
-Also going to add more variation to the ground and at least one more layer of paralax scrolling.

-You got me thinking about enemies now. Originally I didn't want anything to hurt you because I wanted the game to be easy for anyone to finish. Better players would be rewarded with a better score. But now I'm thinking of some other games that have added devices to make their games childproof, like the helper mode in the new Mario games. I found that disappointing because it took a lot of the tension out of the game. So yeah, maybe I'll change that.

I also am considering making a time limit and items you can pickup to increase your time left. That way crashing into a log would be even more devastating.

And you're probably right about the kickstarter. I guess I saw some (in my opinion) lower quality projects succeed in getting more funding than I'm asking for and assumed I could do it. But I probably missed a few factors. Oh well, if it doesn't succeed I won't be able to devote as much time into it as I wanted, so I'll probably scrap the story mode and extra levels and try to make what I have now tighter and better.
