This is where we vote on the next game competition on TIGSource. First read the descriptions on this thread. You have 20 votes, the idea being that you are forced to consider options other than your own suggestions.

If you already voted, you have to do it again. Sorry.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

You could delete the last one. Unless you can't.

Edit: Nevermind, I just did.

Also I know there's a duplicate on the 2600 one. Before anyone asks, we can't change it, leave me alone.

So the Lovecraft compo isn't automatically next?

The Commonplace Book entry in the poll should have "Lovecraft" in there somewhere, even if it's not possible.  Smiley

I think Audio-Only is duped, too.  I voted for both.

As of yet, we don't have any idea whether this poll will have any consequences at all; it's just to gauge interest in the various ideas. (At least that's my understanding.)

GNM, nudity and xxx adds up to ten votes, which makes that one the highest one right now.

We don't know how many people voted for all three though..

I do hope people are voting based on what they think would make a good competition and not just "oh that might be a cool idea for some game".

I didn't realise there was ever a voting on this sort of thing Sad

Over at my forums, I suggested this for the next TIGsource compo:

--
"Make jForce Games' Game Before They Do"

In case you'd forgotten that means:

Quote
'a modern soldier, a robot centipede, a ninja made of sand & glass, a spider-vampire hybrid, a ball-n-chain wielding samurai, a living black hole, an evil wizard, a super hero flower man, aliens with chainsaws, giant bugs, stampeding wildebeests, and zombies'

I think that'd be brilliant. Swamp the market before they've even started.

After a bunch of people have voted, we can try running a new poll on the top 10 or something. That should eliminate some of the random factors.

I was thinking of starting the Commonplace Book compo soon... seems like a good fit for Halloween. Evil

Would it make sense to just do that and then apply the poll to the next NEXT compo?

Sounds like a good idea. Something small to keep us busy while we wait for everybody to fill up the votes.

Heck, I'm thinking this should be enough to cover all of next year. SO MANY.

EDIT: Such a messssssssssss.  Cry Results, names, duplicates, votes. EVERYWHERE.

RIGHTEO: So I kinda had to arrange them all. Man, Commonplace Book is coming... equal 4th, despite the fact it's happening.

Currently:
Giant Naked Men   -10 (1.8%)
Goalless games competition   -10 (1.8%)
Co-Op Games   -11 (2%)
Exploration game compo   -11 (2%)
Very Short Games   -12 (2.1%)

More data soon.

By the by, still digging the fact you did all this, Benzido. I'm not an unappreciative so-and-so, honest.

NOW: Arranging into "Theme Groups". Considering the fact that Yes! I may indeed be obsessive compulsive. ALMOST FINISHED!

NOW: Fecking DONE. Going to sleep. Bastids.
