Little demo of the vertex coloring "tech" for the assets in the Character and Weapons pack. I am including the unlit - vertex colored shader for Unity with these assets.
@Pompi - No I'm absolutely modeling/texturing these 100% myself. The female will look a little different, she's not based off the male model. She's from a model I created some time back and I reduced poly count, created UVs for her and am texturing right now. I didn't feel like collapsing her thumbs (they are crude as is). I did show some samples from an artist who popped up publicly in Google. I am not using his models, etc...in fact if you look on my page none of my characters so far look like his. I have credit for his images, and put his name on there (to show they were not my images). They are there simply as a generic reference to what low poly civilians would look like.
Lastly the weapons are very low poly, but are also detailed enough to use in a FPS view as well. Everything in this pack is low poly and optimized. I've spent a career doing DS, 3DS, Wii, iPhone and Android development so I draw on that experience to judge what is most optimal. Thanks for your comments and checking everything out!
