Glorious Companions is a turn based tactical RPG set in an original dark fantasy world of Navaroth where you craft your own journey as a leader of a mercenary company. Aspire to become a powerful lord, solve the mystery of the Ancient Guardians or just ride around the continent building your fortune on trade.



The world of Navaroth has been carefully built and maintained by us throughout the years. The whole premise began as a pen-and-paper RPG system. Even the game itself had many different forms throughout the years. In 2009 it was a small mini-game with 2D cards representing the characters. However, it has turned into so much more.

We've been running some multi-player tests on a dedicated server and everything's working fine,

This looks great, I hope Companions being a sort of subtitle means there are also plans for a Glorious: Something Indicating Grand Story Based Campaigns as that would d be more my thing.

It's on the wish list of the things to implement in the game but we'll see how it goes, it's something I'd love to make, it'd be a little similar to Mount & Blade.

We will see about this

This is amazing, all of these mountains, trees, awesome sky, clouds, stone walls and all this landscape. But what about gameplay, battle system and other things? I hope this is not just a demonstration of models and nothing else. I really want to think that this project is one of the best things I've ever seen.

We plan to post a series of articles about the game design to enlighten people on how the game works.

And don't worry, we're mainly working on the mechanics actually. TBH what we mostly lack are unit models, we don't have a 3d modeler in our team and that's the thing that will be holding us from launching the closed alpha tests cause we need to have at least 10 unit models to start.

@moi: there will be different maps with different color schemes

ANTy, I believe there is no problem in finding some good modellers. Is your project on Kickstarter? Did you try to find modellers elsewhere? I don't pretend to be the adviser, so I hope you'll understand all necessary things Smiley

@starsrift: true, we've noticed that it doesn't really look good and we went back to the previous look

We don't have funds to pay ~600 bux per model to hire someone. We're thinking about Kickstarter but we'd need to have much more promo content to do that.

I guess we'll figure it out somehow at some point.

One guy from our team is learning modelling so maybe it will be a solution.

for generic models and stuff you can use turbosquid.

Also 3DRT.com and there must be a lot of other websites like this if you don't mind your characters looking a bit generic (it's recomended that you customize them a bit yourself anyway)
