58 A queer village—in a valley, reached by a long road and visible from the crest of the hill from which that road descends—or close to a dense and antique forest.holy shit it's finished and it's short (even on my standards ) and maybe a little creepy! anyway, i kind of lost motivation to work on this thing anymore, because it wasn't really going anywhere. so i just kind of threw something together. DOWNLOADhave funs.

I've read Lovecraft's The Call Of Cthulhu and he uses the word queer a lot, and either Lovecraft is a huge homophobe or he means queer in another way, as in strange or different.
So, to clear this up, don't go making a YMCA game :D

Wikipedia says he was racist and anti-semetic, so I wouldn't put homophobia past him.

Lovecraft was quite the bigoted bastard, yes, and I doubt he took well to homosexuality, but as I understand it (not a native speaker), the word "queer" has a lot more meanings than just gay: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/queerSo I guess he didn't actually envisage some kind of YMCA party in this case.

Yeah, but back then the word queer or gay wasn't really connected to homosexuality, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it in that way

"Queer village" by "PoliceDanceClub" Hmm Okay. Sounds like a 80s new wave song to me

I don't know, it is strange, and disturbing... Since it seemed to be your intention, I must say that you were pretty successful! Also, people don't get raped in Lovecraft stories, do they?

Very disturbing. The music and the abstract gfx is actually quite nice. Took awhile for me to understand that I needed to guide the big blob to the cottage. And the ending, well... It made me laugh... In a sad way. Too bad you wont continue this. I don't have any hints where you could take it and the original idea from HPL doesn't really offer any advice. May be some hearding could be added? Get X villagers from A to B without having them or you killed. Maybe. Maybe not.

I don't believe the game stuttered.
Man, if only you could turn back and go back to your village! If only you didn't want that whatever it is... I assume some sort of candy?
Oh, sick, twisted, funny fate! Why must you be so?
