The block thing might turn out even harder than the blotches. I couldn't find that area on the real painting. About how long does the player have to find it before they hit bottom?

Cray: This level was'nt finished, and the flashlight is directly on the spot in the screenshot, so yeah, you might have a hard time finding it Wink(besides, the block is rotated 90 degrees clockwise, its the equivalent of level 5). Don't worry, it won't be (too) hard, the block right now is falling at the humble speed of 2 pixels per cycle, probably will be slower for the beginning stages.  Evil Seriously, the challenge of game balancing resides in the painting, mainly how many discernible elements there are. For example, it's really easy to find a face or a scarred arm, but to find a black zone with a few generic scratches...Look at this one, even though it's turned, there are not a lot of places in the painting with this kind of pale yellow line with a bump. And the second clue comes in the particular shape of the scratch.

Yama: Beer!

Final crunch days, I really hope to get everything together smoothly. All the structure is in, so I just need to replace my placeholders.

I had initially thought of having 8 levels and enemy types, but I added Curwen in the end, and found out I had 9 (10 if you count the Alone in the Dark dog which I cut, but might be a secret character). But now, with that layout, it made me think of megaman, and I want to make a megaman style selection screen, and that would mean 9 more assets...we'll see.
So back into the fray! I feel Deadeye's pain...only 4 days left...that's going to be verrrry tight....

Moi:You'll see them all on the second screen anyways...Besides, you have'nt seen them move yet!(and some of them are'nt finished)Besides, the true enemy in this game is the backdrop Wink.

Unforseen turns in my day life forced me to push back the game out of the boundaries of the compo. ETA mid december. Sad

I'm sorry to hear that Lurk.  I hope the turns aren't too unpleasant, and I will patiently await the arrival of the game whenever it's ready.

Damn, if Derek hadn't increased the deadline we'd probably have 5 games or so. Shocked

Something tells me Lovecraftian stuff gets naturally ambitious.

Gainsworthy: It's trickling, I'm slowly improving on it, but I really got hit with a bad last-half of november/first-half of december workload on my day job. Plus, the snow we've been getting, my god the snow! I'll be rippling with sweaty, bulging muscles once this winter is over, what with all the shoveling. I'll post a gameplay video in the next few days though, it's just about wrapping the loose ends, and there's a lot of them.. :)I just need 2-3 days straight to work on it, luckily, my vacations start next week (probably on thursday), so (insert appropriate celebration animated gif, I could only find innapropriate ones)!
