Hi,

I'm an experienced 28 year old programmer who is trying to spend some time for and get into the gaming segment after hours - so I'm basically looking for a hobby-project that could need my help. Since I cannot afford to work on projects full-time due to my normal job, I expect the other participants of a project to be in a similar situation or at least respect mine (but this doesn't mean that I'm not ambitious!) Wink

Most of my experience (relevant for this purpose) lies in web development and networking / infrastructure. I have pretty good knowledge of Javascript (nodejs+browser) and HTML5 in general (including WebGL, Canvas, CSS3, Websockets & Co.), as well as (having started web-dev there years ago) PHP and mySQL / Oracle. I regularly have to code in C++, although I have more fun scripting things with cutting edge technologies inside the browser Wink

As said, I am also pretty experienced in networking stuff, meaning I have implemented large scale, high available and high performing systems, which in gaming would be most suitable for multiplayer games, I guess.

I have no special genre (nor do I prefer 2D or 3D) that I'm looking for as long as the project sounds interesting and challenging (and hopefully someone awesome is in charge of the graphics) - for me the most challenging and fun job would be implementing a realtime (maybe massively) multiplayer game (front- & backend engines) inside the browser.

If you have any further questions, feel free to drop me a message!

Thanks for reading Smiley

Using WebGL / Javascript? Sure, would definitely be a challenge.
I think the most difficult thing would be to get great looking graphics / models & such, though.

Not in gaming - as I said I've got pretty good knowledge of high performance / available systems & infrastructure, which would be at least a good starting point for mmo-backends.

Im Mike from Phyersoft!

I know you're aiming for projects that are game related. But looking over your skillset. I still felt compelled to see if you would have been interested in helping us out with completing a web development project.

What we are trying to get finished is a web based file manager. I cant divulge more details than that here. But I can be reached via email at phyerboss[at]phyer.net if you would like more info.

Thanks
