Don't have a demo reel, just a smooth sexy barry-white-esque voice. What kind of samples? Throw me some sentences and context I'll throw up a soundcloud.

I would highly recommend you do a couple of samples and put them on soundcloud as you have suggested yourself.

just pick up some text from a commercial, and read a paragraph from some story. it will take less than 1 hour to do this!

it will be easier for people to hear your voice and check the quality of your mic etc

i'd suggest, for samples, you could use youtube. soundcloud doesn't accurately give the feeling of how the voice would sound in a game. instead you could show a game that normally has voices, but mute those voices out and replace them with your own

and yeah i know that's a lot of trouble to go through for something you're doing for free, but it'd be a sign that you're serious about it. nothing's worse than to go through the trouble of talking with a person and them agreeing to do something only to have them back out before they are finished and abandon the project. putting effort into samples shows that you aren't lazy and won't just disappear if it seems like too much work
