Good morning! Yesterday, my first game saw it's release on
desura.com. I feel that it's a pretty fun, challenging, and stylish 8-bit hack'n'slash game you might actually enjoy. So, check this bad boy out...
Taking ques from both film-noir and samurai-drama's of old, "samurai_jazz" is a pseudo 8-bit hack'n'slash game with an abstract adventure for players to experience. But what sets this game apart from the norm of the genre is it's demand for a more strategic approach to the combat, with each type of enemy requiring it own unique strategy to overcome and it's graphic novel-like presentation.
While the adventure side is a bit lite, players will find themselves engaging in quirky dialogue with local towns folk, solving puzzles, exploring the enigmatic city, and learning more about the ronin who takes on the role of the protagonist of this tale.
Expect a fresh-yet-familiar experience with fight scenes that play out like classic samurai films within a film-noir setting. There's action, adventure, and a jazzy atmosphere backed by it's ambient soundtrack.
