I'm not sure what happened to the stage. If we are still going to make it, sure, you can make a track for it.
There is also the I Wanna Be The Guy Stage that needs 8-bit music.

Original or remixed?
I really don't know. It could be just a big medley of remixed 8-vit songs from the game.

All of the songs in IWBTG are ripped from some game, so original is probably the best bet.

Awesome, I'll get to work. Mondo = Disturbing, IWBTG = Crazy, correct?

Take the clip of him saying "But I wanna be the guy!" or any other soundclips from the game and use them as samples in the song. That way, even though it's an original song, people will still recognize it being from IWTBTG.
Kinda like what Nintendo did for Mr. Game and Watch, even though those games didn't even have music.

I can't seem to find an audio clip for that. I'd be glad to use it if someone sent it to me.

Damn, it seems to be imbedded in the .exe.
I never really got that far in the game. I just watched a Let's Play of it on YouTube. Basically at the end, he says it to the final boss.
There's also a part where The Kid does the "Die, Monster!" thing from Castlevania. Incorporating those into a song would be pretty amusing.

Well I'd only want to take something that's originally from IWBTG. I think I might be able to get the audio clip.

Yeah, pretty much The Kid's lines are the only original audio from the game. I dunno how to get those without dying a lot.
It'd be pretty cool to make a remix of those, much like those remixes on YouTube where they take something someone said and turn it into a song (some examples:
,
). With a little 8-bit thrown in there as well.
Edit: err, I accidentally linked to the wrong thing in that first "example." Whoops. Fixed.

Does anybody have an objection against an electric guitar version of cabadaths theme, just to see how it sounds. There is a possibility it could work. these are recording of the intro that i converted in a couple of minutes. Not 100% but still cbdtheme1 1.mp3cbdtheme2.mp3tell if i should keep going with this or somebody else feel free to take it and play with it.

It's got an "odd" feel that I think would work very well.

Also, thanks for the advice. I had considered using MOD music, but by that time I had already written quite a bit of the arrangement. Still, I'm glad you like it. A lot of trackers are to some degree MIDI compatible, so there'd be no work lost. You should definitely consider submitting your original MIDI to VGMusic.

It's kinda like an "action movie"-ish version of the song, like something you'd hear in one of those spy action/thriller movies. Which actually suits this game as this is an action game. Go with it, I am really interested in seeing how you can flesh this out.

I think the Cabadath theme could be a bit fuller, maybe, and have some other instruments in the background.

has anyone come up with whether we are making level-victory themes or character-victory themes yet?
I really fancy getting down to some. I personally prefer the idea of character-victory themes.

If we're going to do either, the themes would be character-specific. They're not really necessary, but if you want to make them, they'd be a nice touch. We might also need a generic victory theme for team matches.

I think a remix of the title theme would work for a generic one, but i'd rather leave that to flashygoodness, for various reasons. I'll work on the complete characters.
