Hopping up and down
I yelp very loudly. Why
did I stub my toe?

Enjoy haiku now,
Without season words in there,
Or the cutting words

Animal Crossing
It had a haiku one day
Let me recite it

Just one bite won't hurt
yum bite gobble gobble yum
I ate twelve cupcakes

"Let's speak in haiku!"
"No way," said the other guy
"It's too hard for me."

[edit] for content
I thought I'd add more poems
I can't stop writing

School-wide candy ban
What the fudge is going on?
Stick it to the man

Time for bed perhaps?
I can't keep my eyes open
I'll write more later

That is not correct.
The first line of the haiku:
it's a bit too long.

I mourn the hours
lost to haiku and such.
Go make me a game.

Oh, sorry, my bad.
Instead of the syllables
I counted the words.

That all depends on if doing is 1 or 2 syllables.

Writing haiku is
Like beatnik poetry, only
With rules and order.

I wrote a haiku
About a beluga whale
On a summer's day

(but some guy who just crap-fake-rapped to the crowd won the prize. lousy aquarium crowds, no sense of artistic value)

Is it really true
That the plural of 'haiku'
Is also 'haiku'?

Singular, plural:
In Japanese, all the same.
Or so I am told.
