I think giant naked men would be fun if everyone could actually draw them. I like something quick, so "Very Short Games" is the one i'll take.

Here you go!Cockpit - For some reason, I'm really jonesing about this one. I don't know if anyone else is. I just feel like there's a lot you could do with this... with making the HUD a big part of the game, both visually and mechanically. , , Robocop 3... even the best cockpit games tend to be relatively obscure. It would also encourage a lot of 3d entries, which would be great, and then there's the problem of doing a 2d game with a cockpit... has anyone ever done one? How would it work? Other than vehicles, what else could you apply the cockpit idea to? So much potential... Am I crazy, or is this the best idea of them all?! So I'm proposing starting the Cockpit Compo this weekend, and having it run through GDC. And then the Adult Games Compo after GDC. It might even be cool to run Adult Games and Edutainment simultaneously. And then B-Games II in the summer. What do you guys think?

I voted for Exploration. I played Samorost again recently and started making a similar game (on hold during the Cockpit Compo). The VGNG was my favourite, but I think some kind of annual "Generator" compo - be it the return of the VGNG, the You-Have-to-Verb-the-Noun Premise Generator, or something else entirely - would be delicious.

I agree. It'd be nice to have an atmospheric/exploration contest, so we'd see a bunch of new games like knytt, seiklus, and glum buster.

I would go with non-violent myself, there are already so many games about destroying and killing stuff.
Though short games would be interesting as well. Normally a game can go on and on just stacking mechanics and enemy types onto the player. But with only 10 mins, you couldn't really waste people's time with just walking around, pushing buttons etc. You would also need a quick, clear introduction to the mechanics, so that would make the games more accessible as well.
