A rocket backpack! it allows him to fly but it has a catch: the flight is horribly fast and has a specific duration of 2 seconds, cannot cut the power before that. There. Now put small corridors filled with spikes and you're all set :D

Anyone else think of Minus #37?  Wow. I've never heard of Minus. But, it looks really nice. I'm glad you showed it to me. I like watercolor.  Yep, the idea is that Chompy tries to save the dinosaurs on his planet from a massive asteroid. There is a bit more to it than that, but I'll save it for later.

  It's obviously been awhile since I've made any updates to the development of this game. Sam and I are still pluggin' away at it. My current job leaves me with a 2 hour commute and a 10 hour work day. I come home, eat, animate/code, sleep. I am currently on semi-vacation in Milwaukee, WI to work on recording/mixing a band I played in. I've been amazed at the amount of work that's possible when you have an extra 12 hours in your life. So, yeah, I've been polishing things forever. I just don't have enough time to work on the game as I'd like.  To anyone that might still following this game with any interest. THANK YOU. I should be able to work more on Dinosword soon.

 Working on the mammoth boss. The TV colors will probably need to be muted/subtle to not get overwhelming during the fight. Right now, I'm focusing on getting the patterns to transition correctly. Other cameos are planned. Thanks for the comments/critiques. Title screen is still a WIP. Unfortunately for some, it might get a touch busier. I was considering having the sky look wavy like your looking into heat rising off a hot road. Not a lot of distortion, but enough.

Heh, cave sweet cave. This game has a great sense of humor. I like the pixel style, the heavy blacks give it a very old-school feel (forget exactly which era required that, due to color limitations).
