well, after REDRAWING THE ASSETS FOR THE LIBRARY THAT I LOST, I'm almost done with the school, and I'll definitely be done this weekend! I'll try to have an explorable level for you guys by then. there's only four floors but w/e.

incidentally I am using Dropbox, but I guess something blew up because it told me that the last version was from 10 days ago. maybe I just had photoshop open for 10 days and didn't save!?!?!? which is hard to believe either because I usually save like it's the last day on earth

that's how I found out ;_; I wish I knew what actually happened.

we have at least one composer atm, but I say the more the merrier ~~~~

a bajillion rooms are still missing but I think this is still a good time to get feedback!
&& the dialogue is old because the plot is going to do a 180.

This kind of stuff is why devlogs are sooo helpful. I should have mentioned that.

hmm, do you think it'd be as much of a problem if I did make everything that looks interactible, interactible? e.g. the fountain and bookcases will have descriptions, you can jump on top of the librarian's desk, all the doorways can be traversed, etc.
I'm a little iffy on indicators because it feels too hand-holdy and breaks immersion.
This kind of stuff is why devlogs are sooo helpful. I should have mentioned that.
yeah, feedback is great! since it's the first world I'm being 100% transparent so I can get moar comments.

If you can interact with everything, then it wouldn't be a problem at all. Smiley

The visual indicators don't need to be super obvious though. Not like giant arrows pointing "THIS IS A DOOR". But maybe if you walk over a doorway, it could just ever so slightly shift contrast or brightness or something... just a very subtle shift.

But then again, if you make all doorways interactive it's not a problem. Though I think you have your work cut out for you if you want to make absolutely everything interactive.
