All of the above, plus one: what are you offering? You sure have a lot of benefits ready to compensate for that list of demands.

Yeah, once we found our current programmer. Our goals was set in stone with our own engine and going with what we truly want to make. We wasn't lucky in the past in finding what we needed so we slimmed down our idea tremendously. Now we can go forward with what we want and only thing we lack is some extra hands to speed along the work.

As for resumes from us, technically that is our website with a little bit of information about us. If anybody has questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

By the way, we are offering for people to join a team. This isn't just another job, it is something to be apart of and get your voice heard when you wish to speak. We at Forbidden Gravity love to hear what others have to say, good or bad. Since we are new to this world we take every piece of advice seriously.

So I hope this gives some answers, thank you for the messages!

Forbidden Gravity is an Indie Game company, fresh on the scene of the game development world. We are currently working on our first project and require an extra hand or two. We are looking to bring on 1 to 2 more programmers to work with our current programmer.

The current project is still in it's early stages, but has recently started making some decent progress. We are building our own engine, and using the OpenGL API. We are using the C++ programming language to build all of this. The world is going to be a hybrid of voxels and polygons. The world in itself will be a procedurally generated 3D voxel environment, with polygon based models, such as buildings, characters, trees, etc. etc.

The main idea of the game and it's direction is an Action-Adventure RPG experience focusing on the manipulation of the elements through alchemy. The player will be able to explore if they wish, pound enemies into oblivion with different alchemical abilities if that is more their style, or a mixture of both as they immerse themselves in the game's in depth storyline. The player is not tied down by a set path at all times.

In order to make this happen we need the help of experienced programmers, and are looking to you for help. In order to join in on this project, candidates will need to meet the requirements listed below.

Candidates MUST:

- Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Be responsible and possess good communication abilities
- Possess intermediate to advanced C++ Programming experience
- Possess intermediate to advanced experience with OpenGL
- Possess intermediate to advanced experience with Game Engines
- Have a mature attitude towards others
- Be able to follow directions
- Have open availability (Moderate to High)

- Previous experience in working on an RPG project is a plus, but not required

To Apply
Please send in your resume and any portfolios to [email protected]

Yeah, its quite a lot to ask for and give out nothing in return. Not even a hope in the project.
Maybe you should reconsider and use an existing engine? That would make it a little easier.

And I'd attach some work you've done already.

Thanks for the advice! But our programmer is quite the crafty one, we feel as a group that his work will be the backbone to not just this project but to every other project we go into. A foundation is what we are making and of course this helps us build up the team and get to know each other. A little extra work, but we plan to very much pay people as soon as we possibly can.

So honestly all I can offer is that we will try to give a good experience, a loving team to call a family if deciding to join long term or even short term.

As for stuff to show, we sadly do not have anything we can display except some concept art which is on the website. (That is for the public, obviously that isn't all we have. lol)

But again! Thank you for your message and advice.
Hope you and everybody has an awesome explosive 4th of July! ... I got sparklers. *sigh*
