When I saw this thread only one game really came to mind... This game was BEAUTIFUL. Legend of Mana was indeed a charming game . I always thought curly-haired main character was a girl... The Niccolo ending did not help that.

real art looks like the mona lisa or a halo poster and is about being old or having your wife die and sometimes the level goes in reverse

Legend of Mana, yes. The soundtrack, the hand-drawn graphical style, all the different characters and races, the openness of all the pointless sidequests, and the unrelated ribbons of storyline that flit throughout the whole game, bringing everything in upon itself... If nothing else, this game had a wonderful charm to it.

Jump a bike over some frogs. Then play a Janken death match. NOSTALGIA RUSH I have the Genesis version of that game. You know, the one with decent graphics. Still, it was awesome. I love the idea of a game about Rock-Paper-Scissors, in which the final boss is what looks like a hindu god with 8 arms. I mean, talk about your unfair advantages.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World, it came with the Master System BIOS It was one of my fondest memories when I turned on my console with no cartridge inserted and find out I had a new game

Shadow of the colossus + all those great SNES games I've played, too many to be listed. Also Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus. And Stonekeep. And Prince of Persia. And the Incredible Machine series. Gah, too many to be listed indeed.

It was made by some friends of mine and produced for the 3DO. Basically, you play as a pyramid that's trying to blow up the other pyramids. Most pyramids are stationary, but some pyramids can move too, and they try to blow you up in return. It was a really fun arena shooter.

One of my favorite games of all time. I love how it looks! Gnawd! Why not the original one? :D I think the best kirby games were the first one on NES and Superstar on SNES. And indeed, they both were very very charming.

Just so you know, the one pictured there is not the N64 one. It's Kirby's Dream Land 3 for the SNES.

Who said anything about the N64? And yeah, Dreamland 3 was awesome. Kirby's awesome in general, though.

Many hours of my life was spent playing this game.... (I've actually have plans to do a clone of this with a storyline, it's on my todo list) Don't forget this either! The best of puzzle games! (Excluding Tetris, of course, which is the worlds puzzle game champion.)
