I'm looking for an indie platformer that I found on this forum around... 2009 maybe? The name *could* have been something like "The X Is Y". The premise was that the entire level layout was visible on your screen, and you were a 2-pixel high individual making their way up to the top of the level, while water (I think?) was slowly rising and you had to outrun it. It's possible it was the product of of a game jam of some sort. The main thing is that you were tiny and it was a large level on a tiny scale visible on the entire screen with rising lava/water.

So I came in here to ask if anyone knew this (DOS? WIN3.1?) game where you design custom dinosaurs, and then teleport them to a time period and try to eat food and not die. Anyway, as per the very first post's suggestion, I went through MobyGames' Animals: Dinosaurs section and found it. After all these long years. Designasaurus II. Thank you, MobyGames. Thank you, TIGSource. Thank you, dinosaurs.

Hello everybody. There was this little indie game. It made you play a different arcade every bunch of seconds or loosing condition, and at the end it would present you a report about your gaming skills, divided like into coordination, timing, speed, tasks optimization. Any idea about this? If you happen to know any other game like this one, I'd like to see them too. Thanks everybody

i'm looking for a certain game console from 70's-80's that had thin plastic game cards. it was a piece super primitive electronics and probably a cheap toy which ran on batteries. i can't recall the actual console itself, controls or any other game than tennis. da gams:

ah not one that plays on the tv? There was a plethora of tabletop electronic games in the early 80s, good luck finding that. the plastic cartridges do ring a bell though.

So I was playing this awesome game I found here in the forums. Back when I was playing it, it was still in development and that was a few years ago. 3 or 4 maybe? It was like a 2D pixelated version of Team Fortress. Each team had a base and had game modes. (I think) There were classes like Ninja (which I remember the most) who could stealth if you didn't move for a period of time, allowing you to get the jump on the enemy and kill them. I think there were classes like Doctor, Soldier, and Engineer, can't remember. And in each base, there was this sort of spawner thing where you could spend the points you got in game for stuff like explosives or vehicles. I think there were aircraft, drill machines, cloaking devices, etc that would help you get the upper hand on the enemy. And the terrain was like this, one base on each side of the map, grass field in between, and an underground part where you could essentially dig from your base to the enemy's. Sadly that's all I can remember. Oh, and the game icon was this yellow drill machine! If anybody could help me find this game that'd be awesome.

I loved Masjin but after awhile there was nobody to play with.
I'm looking for what can best be described as an "iterative real-time/turn-based abstract arena shooter." It was an abstract arena shooter, as I said, like xWUNG, but the package came with multiple executables, each of which had a variation of the game. I'm not sure if any one version is the "main version."
The gameplay had a weird gimmick where it was basically an action game, but in discrete time intervals. It sort of played like a 2D SuperHot, but it didn't feel like SuperHot. It was less fluid and had more of a tactical turn-taking feel to it. It might also have had some sense of momentum to the avatar's movements.
