The graphics style is really nice! How do you draw those characters? Smiley

I'm really digging the pixel art.  Enlarged, it looks a lot like LucasArts quality work.  I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.  I also left an encouraging word on reddit.

Interesting sounding game. The graphics are looking pretty good. If I were to nit-pick, it would be that the perspective is off for the motorbike - the handlebars are viewed completely from the side, but you can see the side and front of the wheels, as well as the inside.

Anyway, pretty great graphics so far!

Thanks for the comments guys!

SolarLune: The bike was made for another project -- I'll be sure to edit it to fit the game's perspective.

JigsawDisease: Others have mentioned the same thing, but the game is actually based on an actual town in California: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downieville,_California. I'm still debating whether to change the name.

Posted this in the mockup thread.

You are one great artist, and especially a great animator, m'dear. Let me just begin by saying that.
As for the game itself, that smell mechanic is interesting. I've seen vaguely similar stuffs in other contexts. I like what you're doing.

Mr. Badass over there reminds me of

Loving how much detail in design you've set out before you really got anything - looks very promising

I was just about to state how derpy the duck looks, then I remembered. Looks awesome. I'm not the best pixel artist but I do have a problem with the motorcycle Shrug The seat is 100% sideways whereas other parts are sort of slanted towards the camera. Overall it looks pretty awesome but it's just the little things.

I'm loving how the sound system works, seems really clean.
