I'm extremely sorry for inactivity.

Here's the latest updates:
-Improved Networking Code
-Updated LAN Support
-Updated the way mods are loaded. Mods can now be loaded based on which directory they are put in in the DD root folder.
-Handler for Trader finished.
-Updated in-game variables.

Pixel art look nice BUT (I know that you are still on developing...) put some shadow on the elements. The first game screenshot has only the hero + zombies with it Wink

ps. why does the hero t-shirt change color on one frame of the gif? :D

I have a shadow sprite, I guess I've forgotten to add it. The menu isn't even near completion yet, it's just something that works which I threw together for testing purposes.

I'm not sure why the t-shirt changes color. Approximately what frame is it?

I'll definitely be sure to add shadows.

EDIT: I see the change. I think it's been fixed since that was posted.

IT'S NOT A DEAD GAME O CLOCK.

ACTUAL IN-GAME FOOTAGE:

NOT INCLUDED IN GIF:
-Collisions
-Shadows
-Zombie AI

The AI and Shadows were making LICECap lag unfortunately, and collisions are still kinda shaky.

The pixel art/palette has a fitting zombie apocalyptic vibe to it. This kind of reminds me of those addicting arcade side-scrollers.

Yeah, you did. It wasn't active though, just kind of jogging in place since I didn't include the AI while recording the gif. Having lots of zombies moving on screen makes LICECap lag.

This game intrigues me. I am defiantly going to be keeping an eye on this. It somewhat reminds me of P.O.W. for the NES, at least in the sense it is side scrolling and a shooter. It defiantly has way nicer graphics then P.O.W. though. I'm probably just having some nostalgia. Zombie games can be fun. I don't usually like shooters and I will admit to being horrid at P.O.W., but this looks fun. I think I'll stay away from the suicide level of difficulty though. Thank you! P.O.W was one of those games which not a lot of people remember. I'd say it had some influence on the style of the game, but it mostly comes from games like Double Dragon (as seen in the title).

Anyway, thanks for the encouraging words, it's always nice to hear.

I will also have tons of previews for new stuff coming soon, I've been working very hard to crank out some new stuff!

Taking a very small hiatus to work on my Trials of Oryx entry. Progress (with programming) will resume around Christmas.
