Just a heads up, but a lot of your images on the first page of the thread aren't there any more. Must have run out of hosting or something.

Thanks! I actually stored them somewhere silly. (My own server which I wiped)

I need to rewrite the main page and maybe perform some editing. That'll be on today's todo list.

Just a quick one,

I've been working on combat - Just added Particle and render effects based on active status effects. Below Poison!


Lot's of things have been happening, we should have a video in a couple of weeks and we are going to a bunch of local trade shows to demo the game for the first time!

lots of things have been going on since my last update.

A startup competition called #KiwiGameStarter launched offering $20k worth of prizes, including $10K cash, software licences and various other support to one winner.

We submitted a demo, but didn't make it into the finalist set, which is ok as going through the pitch writing process was something I hadn't done before and it made me ask what we could do to better pitch the game, communicate what it is about and how to improve the demo.

Going forward we would like to start polishing the demo to get a really decent vertical slice ready to do a Kickstarter campaign early next year. (Febuary)

Another thing that we did for the first time is show the game to other game devs and game players at our local meetup it was very encouraging what many people said about the games artwork and aesthetic. I also noticed a whole bunch of usability issues, while looking over players shoulders. So the next few months will involve more and more play testing and polish.
